New Rangers boss Philippe Clement is determined to build a dressing room of winners at Ibrox but acknowledges that he is no blackjack football magician blackjack
The 49-year-old became the 19th permanent manager of the Govan club following the departure of Michael Beale at the start of the month blackjack
After playing at Genk and Club Brugge, Clement won the Belgian Pro League as a manager with both teams but he inherits a Light Blues side who are currently seven points behind cinch Premiership leaders and defending champions Celtic blackjack
Speaking at Ibrox, Clement said: “I want to win everything blackjack
That’s the mentality when I step into a building, I want to give this mentality also towards the dressing room and create more and more winners in this dressing room blackjack
“So we’re going to work really hard to get silverware as fast as possible and to make this story step by step, bigger and bigger blackjack
“How fast it comes? You never know I don’t have this crystal ball blackjack
“Also I’m not a magician that suddenly can totally change players blackjack
But I know if we can work a long time with players that we can make them blackjack better blackjack
”Clement will give players a chance to impress before he considers changes in the January transfer window blackjack
He said: “I’m also somebody who likes to see first, what is the potential that is there already blackjack
“I’m not somebody who wants 10 new players every year and say, ‘OK, this one and this one is not good enough’ blackjack
“I’m somebody who likes to invest in people, who wants to find the key to get the best out of them blackjack
“So we need to use the next weeks, months to do that in the best way blackjack
“So all the players with me – maybe not with some fans, and that’s a little bit pity maybe – everybody starts with a white page blackjack
“Everybody has the chances also until January to prove themselves, to show that they are really good players that they want to be on the pitch, that they want to make the difference for the club, that they want to give everything blackjack
And then we will see blackjack
”Chief executive James Bisgrove’s next job will be to appoint a director of blackjack football blackjack
He said: “Certainly in the next few weeks, if not months, we’re having live conversations at the moment blackjack
“There are variables in that depending on the individuals that the board believes and the blackjack football board and Philippe feel has the best fit blackjack
But I believe it will be imminent blackjack
“It’ll be a club board appointment that Phillipe will absolutely be part of that process and will meet whoever we bring in before we take that decision blackjack
“And that person when they come in will add additional value, expertise and leadership to the recruitment function blackjack
“We’ve currently got John Park as the chief scout at the top of that division blackjack
“We’ve made some changes to the scouting function recently blackjack
We’ve modernised that in terms of some of the processes, additional emphasis on data and video analysis blackjack
“And we’ve been I think, more strategic and focused on how we’ve set that up blackjack
“Phillipe would have some strong views on that as well blackjack
But it’s a decision that the board will take in terms of the long-term blackjack football strategy and someone to complete that blackjack football board that’s already in existence to make sure we’ve got really robust processes around the decision-making that we take right across the blackjack football department blackjack

In the celebratory aftermath of England’s qualification for Euro 2024, Jude Bellingham was in little mood to qualify his opinion blackjack
The Real Madrid midfielder just went out and said how Gareth Southgate’s side deserved the win over Italy because they were the “much blackjack better” team blackjack
There was no diplomacy there, just a striking stridency blackjack
It created a very different mood to the last time a match blackjack between the two teams led to a tournament qualification, amid scenes that received a new prominence recently due to the David Beckham documentary blackjack
That was the 1997 0-0 draw in Rome, which saw England qualify automatically for the 1998 World Cup blackjack
The suffocating tension of that match bore so little resemblance to the stroll of Tuesday’s game, at least for Gareth Southgate’s side blackjack
Then, Christian Vieri’s late header caused audible gasps within the Stadio Olimpico, no doubt to match those around the country blackjack
The ball went just wide, though, to bring huge emotional release and Paul Gascoigne dancing blackjack
The sense of achievement was profound blackjack
It was admittedly a different kind of blackjack football and a very different Italy, with some of the intensity influenced by England’s failure to reach USA’s World Cup in 1994, but it was still just qualification – and that for a newly expanded 32-team event blackjack
It was also a hugely talented squad, filled by some of the most relentless winners the English game has known in so many of Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United stars blackjack
RecommendedJude Bellingham once again proves he is the key for England’s Euro 2024 hopesEngland have qualified for Euro 2024 — now it’s about winning itAnd yet, this current England has something more, as well as much more than just the expectation of qualification blackjack
It is more than the experience of reaching the latter stages of tournaments and so many other psychological milestones, like beating Italy, away blackjack
It is that assuredness, personified by Bellingham blackjack
There is something genuinely different in the midfielder, a potential missing ingredient for a team that last came within a penalty shootout of victory in this very competition blackjack
It is personality as much as performance blackjack
England’s Jude Bellingham celebrates at Wembley (PA)It points to an England that can be defined by “winners” at the international level, that is able to rise to any given challenge because they are completely devoid of all the old baggage blackjack
This is something that Bellingham’s youth represents, as well as his admirable willingness to just go straight to Real Madrid rather than feel he has to go to the Premier League blackjack
The mood that fosters also fortifies the confidence of other players with England blackjack
That was maybe most visible in Marcus Rashford’s finish, as well as a level of display we haven’t seen so much with his club of late blackjack
None of this is to say it’s all down to Bellingham, of course blackjack
It’s rather what his mindset represents and rounds off blackjack
“He has been a catalyst,” Southgate said after the 3-1 win blackjack
“The way he carries himself and plays on the field shows that, and he’s had that since he walked through the door blackjack
Plus the power in his play, that gives us something when you are in tight situations and he can suddenly wriggle out of things… That belief, that willingness to engage with the crowd, they are rare traits in a player so young blackjack
”England have a new golden generation on their hands (The FA via Getty)They are especially rare in historic England squads, right up to the recent successes blackjack
Southgate has navigated his sides through all that from fine man-management of a brilliant generation, where the blackjack Football Association have essentially become the latest wealthy western European blackjack football nation to industrialise talent production blackjack
Bellingham is the sort of player that eventually comes out of that, a final product if you like, but one that often requires a lot of patience blackjack
Putting all the pieces in place just gives you the best chance, rather than giving you the certainty of having the best player blackjack
These are, of course, the terms that are already framing the discussion around Bellingham blackjack
That isn’t English media exaggeration, either blackjack
It was the first question put to Southgate by Italian media blackjack
It dominated the late-night blackjack football discussion in Spain blackjack
The world is talking about Bellingham blackjack
It might yet see England dominate these Euros, in the same way they dominated Italy to get there blackjack
